Foscarini Birdie - designer hanging light made of polycarbonate
The two similar elements above the cone-shaped lampshade quickly reveals where the Milanese designer couple Ludovica + Roberto Palomba came up with the idea for the design of the hanging light Birdie. Since 2011, the Birdie product series has enriched the catalogue of well-known light manufacturer Foscarini and - as is typical of Foscarini products - has impressed with excellent quality and outstanding lighting.
A diffuse light is created when the light shines outs through the translucent polycarbonate shade. In addition, the light shines directly down and gently upwards, which perfects the cosy light mood. The trademark of the Birdie series and at the same time undoubtedly where the name comes from is the cage formed by struts branching off from the suspension. It is easy to imagine that it is the perfect place for a little bird.
