Eve Water Guard water detector for smart integration via Apple HomeKit The Eve Water Guard reliably detects leaking water and - thanks to the option for smart integration via Apple HomeKit - also warns you when you are on the move, enabling a quick response and reducing the risk of water damage. The Water Guard is equipped with a plug and is supplied with power via the 230 V mains. Its two metre long cable serves as a sensor over its full length and can be extended to up to 150 m if required thanks to the end socket (see accessories). The device generates a 100 dB loud and visual alarm to warn you on site. Via Bluetooth, the water sensor is connected to the respective Apple HomeKit centre. This enables the router to receive a warning via the App on the Apple smartphone or Tablet in the event of a water leak. In addition, the Water Guard can be linked to scenes with other smart devices so that, for example, the washing machine operated via an Eve socket is deactivated in the event of a water alarm. Thread technology, which is a pillar for Matter, has also already been installed. Compared to Bluetooth, this ensures better and faster networking of devices and creates a Mesh network. Even if one device fails, it is skipped and communicates with the next one, allowing the devices to be outside the range of a Border Route. No Bridge is required, but a HomePod mini or the new Apple TV 4K must be integrated so that Thread-enabled Eve devices can also communicate via Thread.
