Cable Lighting Kits

Light up even the most complex of rooms

Whether you want to light a long hallway, brighten dark areas of a complex-shaped room or just want to throw away your dusty lampshades in favour of something more modern, cable lighting systems are the way to go.

Unlike fixed ceiling lights, cable lighting comes with adjustable light sources across the length of the wire. So, not only can you change the direction of the light, but you also have the freedom to move your furniture as often as you like - knowing you’ll never be sitting in the dark!

When can a cable lighting system be used?

Cable lighting systems make it possible to light up a room with several light sources at different, freely selected points, like a kitchen with an adjoining dining area, a long corridor or a large living room with several seating areas.

Using a cable lighting system also comes in handy with complex-shaped rooms which have multiple angles or corners (i.e. L-shaped rooms), or in a space with features such as a sloping roof.

Though, to be honest, they look great in any room and are a modern way to light your home - regardless of its shape or size.

What is the advantage of a ready-to-install cable lighting kit?

Ready-to-install cable systems are great!

Why?

Because they come pre-assembled in a fixed length with a fixed number of lights, so you can install them straight from the box.

And although the spotlights are positioned along the length of the cable, their positioning isn’t fixed, which means you can change the direction of the light to suit each room individually.

Are there ready-to-install cable systems with LED?

Absolutely!

To be honest, most cable lighting systems rely on LED technology. Either in the form of permanently installed LED boards - often in combination with a minimalist design - or with standard sockets.

And some manufacturers already supply the appropriate LED lamps, e.g. LEDs with GU5.3 / MR16 bases for a spot-based system.

LED technology is not only energy-efficient, it’s durable too, meaning cable lighting systems are generally maintenance-free once they’re installed.

It should be noted, however, LED-based cable lighting systems aren’t always dimmable, so make sure you check the product details before purchasing.
